As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless onboarding experiences for our valued customers. You'll collaborate closely with our FinCrime, Compliance, and Operations teams to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence.
Role OverviewAs a Merchant KYC Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Conducting Due Diligence: Ensure comprehensive capture of client documentation and facilitate timely onboarding for merchant customers.
- Analyzing and Assessing Profiles: Verify identities, identify potential red flags, and escalate cases to the FinCrime team for further review.
- Providing Customer Support: Assist customers via email to ensure a smooth onboarding and verification process.
- Performing Periodical Reviews: Conduct regular reviews on existing customers to maintain up-to-date records and compliance.
- Utilizing Screening Databases: Screen customers using PEP databases and adverse media sources to identify potential risks.
- Challenging Processes: Continuously improve by challenging existing tools, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
We're looking for a candidate with:
- Relevant Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a fintech or financial sector company.
- Legal Framework Knowledge: Good understanding of relevant AML/KYC legal frameworks.
- AML/AFC Qualification: Qualification from ACAMS, ICA, or a similar industry body is considered a plus.
- Language Proficiency: Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, with knowledge of French and Italian being a strong plus.
