Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our pre-opening team at Ennismore's SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the overall operation of the housekeeping department, including third-party companies.
  • Control and manage the department's budget and financial closure.
  • Ensure all departmental service standards and sequences of service are upheld.
  • Work collaboratively with housekeeping partners, front office, and engineering teams.
  • Maintain a close relationship with the Front Office and Engineering Team.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing issues promptly and providing excellent communication.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and manage cost per room for supplies.
  • Plan, assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to improve employee performance.
  • Supervise laundry operations and ensure public areas, guest rooms/suites, equipment, and linens are clean and in good repair.
  • Support in handling complaints and special requests from guests, VIPs, and repeat visitors.
  • Ensure staff is properly trained and equipped to carry out job duties.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department managers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Previous experience with pre-opening of a hotel is a plus.
  • Someone who understands, celebrates, and embodies the SLS brand values.
