Wind Services Technical Sales Support Specialist

This role is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Renewables Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of applied products and technology.
Your focus will be on the service activity for wind turbine converters, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.
You will also showcase your expertise by performing lost proposal analysis, identifying potential causes, and recommending future actions.
The work model for this role is hybrid and flexible, with partially working from home and partially working in or linked to ABB offices in the Basque Country, Zaragoza, Madrid, and Barcelona.
Pamplona and other nearby locations can also be considered.
This role contributes to the Motion Renewables Services, with a special focus on the Wind segment in Spain.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supporting the local Sales organization and customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.
- Preparing/supporting in the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local business/feeder factory indications, and Sales organization directives.
- Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through information from the general market and the Sales organization.
- Defining costs for the proposed solution and communicating it to the Sales organization.
- Following up on opportunities together with the sales organization.
- Collaborating with the global service excellence centers in the continuous development of new services.
Qualifications for this role include:
- A Bachelor or Technical degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering or Professional Module (FP2).
- 2 years of experience in the wind energy market.
- Experience in technical or sales aspects of design, commissioning, or maintenance of electrical systems of wind turbines.
- Knowledge of AC/DC drives technology and industrial communications is required.
- Sound knowledge of and/or hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing ABB or other brand drives for all types of industries and applications is appreciated.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, standard quotation platforms, and standard customer relationship management software.
- A proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
- Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and good command of English, both written and spoken.
