Business Development Manager - Grocery Channel
A results-driven sales or business development professional is sought to drive growth and sales for key customers across Southern Europe.
This exciting opportunity is part of the continued success and growth at the Albert Roger Group, a professional and successful company with ambitious plans for the next five years.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be an integral part of the team, responsible for driving sales and growth for key customers across Southern Europe.
Your role will involve developing new businesses from lead generation, customer meetings, negotiating and closing deals with existing retailers to increase current orders, as well as launching and managing new brands.
You will work with exciting brands and leading retail partners across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop customer relationships, ensuring a complete understanding of the customer's business and their needs.
- Build long-lasting relationships with customers to deliver excellent service, supporting core functional activities.
- Identify and develop new sales to meet assigned revenue goals by finding leads, making appointments, and attending customer meetings.
- Develop relevant relationships with customers and the industry to elevate business growth.
- Manage lead/campaign forecasting and execution.
- Maintain customer data through our systems, sales forecasts, and activity reports.
- Be responsible for the formulation and implementation of the sales and marketing business strategy.
- Market mapping to identify key customer requirements.
- Ensure that all commercial aspects of the sale transaction are in the best interest of the company.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to maximize the footprint and retention of existing customers.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to foster innovation and adapt our strategy to the needs of the country and the client.
Requirements:
- Winning experience in Sales/Business Development with key retailers in the grocery channel.
- Experience within a non-food category, FMCG, particularly in beauty/personal care/hair care is advantageous.
- Enthusiastic and consultative business developer with the ability to present convincingly to decision-makers.
- Proactive with excellent negotiation and strong communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Goal-focused with the ability to self-manage, build an active portfolio, and establish effective customer relationships.
- A team player who is focused on the team's victory.
