About the Role

Thermo Fisher Scientific, a world leader in serving science, is seeking a driven Chemical Sales Specialist to join our UK team. As a key member of our Laboratory Chemicals Division, you will be responsible for representing our brand portfolio to customers and supporting our channel partners.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Gain a deep understanding of our company's capabilities under the brands Fisher Chemical, Thermo Scientific, and Fisher BioReagents. Act as an ambassador of Thermo Fisher Scientific and embody our company values.
  2. Build and Maintain Customer Relationships: Establish long-term, productive relationships with new and existing customers, leveraging our SFDC CRM system and Power BI sales reporting.
  3. Drive Sales Growth: Develop and implement an effective territory sales plan, including a Target Account Plan. Achieve sales targets and analyze sales performance on a monthly basis.
  4. Support Channel Partners: Build relationships with all channel partners, including Fisher Scientific, and provide specialist support for key accounts.
  5. Communicate Effectively: Provide regular reports on customer visit progress, pipeline monitoring, and target account development.
Requirements
  1. Commercial Experience: Field-based experience in a commercial environment within the chemicals market.
  2. Education: A university degree in chemistry or a related field.
  3. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  4. Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills, with clear prioritization of short and long-term tasks.
  5. Accountability: Accepts accountability and responsibility for sales performance.
