About the role...

The Hygienic Fluid Handling Business Unit is a key driver for the growth strategy of Alfa Laval Iberica.

We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team in Spain, responsible for developing this business by finding new opportunities in new customers and integrators.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial orientation, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, and a deep understanding of the Food and Pharma market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing and understanding market insights and customer buying behavior, and making sales plans according to the business unit strategy.
  • Identifying key factors to open doors in new customers.
  • Looking for and managing leads from the market and customers, converting them into real business opportunities to ensure the pipeline.
  • Being active in the market, focusing on making visits, meetings, and interactions with customers, with a multichannel perspective, emphasizing partner and customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, structured, and proactive person who enjoys generating outstanding customer experiences through value selling based on customer needs.

A person with genuine curiosity for business development, looking for new opportunities in the market based on deep market and data analysis.

A challenging person with a digital mindset, good customer needs understanding, focused not only on selling products but also on creating value in the customer process.

Job requirements...

  • Industrial Engineering degree (preferred) or similar.
  • Experience in the Food or Pharma market is valued.
  • Strong commercial orientation (commercial skills) with, preferably, at least 5 years of experience in technical sales.
  • Fluid handling/heat exchanger technology knowledge is valued.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Resident in the Madrid area.
  • The position is in our offices in Alcobendas.
  • High availability to travel in Spain.
