Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sales Industry Account Manager to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating, maintaining, and establishing the growth of our current customer base and new business opportunities to increase revenues for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily focused on growing sales of bioMerieux industrial products and solutions in Food & Animal Health lines to expand, develop, maintain customer accounts as well as promote service sales offering in accordance with annual sales growth objectives.
  • Drives growth by continuously creating and selling customer value propositions for an assigned account base that focuses on our competitive advantage while leveraging our broad product portfolio.
  • Understands product and the solutions approach. Demonstrates knowledge of the impact on economic outcomes.
  • Drives product demos, technical follow-up both equipment and reagents in the assigned product line to find new opportunities.
  • Support other bioMerieux sales efforts such as trade shows, national conventions, and regional sales meetings.
  • Manage sales, market, and competition opportunities using the company's CRM and market intelligence information.
  • Serve as a knowledge resource to customers using BioMérieux technology to solve identified laboratory needs to optimize our solutions offering.
  • Develop a plan to effectively meet sales targets by meeting or exceeding key metrics for revenue, account retention, profitability.
  • Implement business sales strategy and tactics in conjunction with the marketing plan and product managers.
  • Teamwork with salesforce across designated customers.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with all bioMérieux departments including field sales, finance, senior management, legal, sales admin, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Science background in Biology, Veterinary, or other Health Science and desirable Master in Food Technology.
  • Good understanding of Industrial Microbiology in Food area and knowledge of Molecular biology.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales field or in the laboratory of Microbiology in Quality Control with a proven track record of results will be desirable.
  • Good business knowledge, sales analysis, and numbers skills. Ability to judge competitive response to sales strategy and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Excellent presenting and closing sales skills to all levels of decision-makers.
  • Organizational awareness and relationship building coupled with good product knowledge to succeed and support the business strategy.
  • Excellent integrator and negotiator, very good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and teamwork abilities; Ability to work with & influence people without formal authority, downward & upward communication.

Working Conditions

Role-based in Barcelona (or nearby) with availability and willingness to travel up to a minimum of 30% within assigned territory.
