About the RoleWe're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Renewable Energy Sales Professional to join our Madrid office. As an Account Executive, you'll be responsible for articulating the value of our platform to a designated territory of platform participants, including renewable energy developers, Independent Power Producers, Utilities, and Sustainability Advisors. Your primary goal will be to lead full sales cycles from prospect to close, drive subscription sales, and build brand visibility within the energy community.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Subscription Sales: Achieve annual ARR targets by leading full sales cycles from prospect to close.
- Team Selling: Collaborate with assigned Account Managers to negotiate commercial terms for subscription renewals.
- Brand Visibility: Attend conferences, build a network of stakeholders, and speak at events to increase brand presence.
- Expertise Development: Become an expert on how to be indispensable to assigned segments and represent customer needs to marketing, product, and executives.
- Communication: Provide up-to-date and accurate forecasts by actively updating customer and opportunity records in the company's CRM system.
- Enterprise Selling Experience: 3+ years selling in energy-related industries.
- Full Sales Cycle Experience: 5+ years experience with established sales methods such as MEDDIC, Challenger, Solutions Selling.
- Sales Skills: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, both in person and via Zoom.
- Attitude and Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, can-do attitude, strong sense of urgency, and ability to see opportunity where others see a closed door.
- CRM Discipline: Ability to thrive in a constantly changing work environment and maintain discipline regarding CRM use and detailed data entry.
- Renewable Energy Origination Experience: Experience in renewable energy origination, power trading, or energy risk management.
- Web-Based Software Sales: Experience selling web-based software as a service (SaaS).
- Additional Languages: Fluent in additional European languages are highly valued.
- Salesforce Familiarity: Familiarity with Salesforce CRM.
This is a full-time position based in our Madrid office. We offer a hybrid in-office/work-from-home schedule, monthly communication allowance, private insurance allowance, quarterly wellness allowance, and a restaurant card (Madrid-based employees only).
