Job Title: Compliance Leader for Wholesale and Gas Trading

As a Compliance Leader for Wholesale and Gas Trading, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our trading operations are conducted in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement policies and internal controls to mitigate compliance-related risks.
  • Continuously improve the Trading Compliance program and internal control structure, identifying gaps and recommending risk-mitigating solutions.
  • Monitor and review trading activities to detect potential non-compliance events.
  • Support the operation of trade surveillance activities to prevent, detect, and investigate possible manipulative activities, policy violations, and/or other trading anomalies.
  • Lead enterprise risk management and audit & assurance initiatives for the business.
  • Manage third-party risks and liaise with corporate functions as needed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Repsol's front-to-back office trading processes and coordinate with other groups to ensure compliance with external and internal regulations.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of current gas and energy sector regulations in Spain and Europe.
  • Understanding of main regulators, associations, and players in the Gas Sector in Spain and Europe.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with business-level fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in a similar position and/or level of responsibility in the gas trading industry.
