Job Title: Trading Compliance Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Trading Compliance Analyst to join our team at Repsol Sa. As a key member of our Trading Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with external regulations and building upon our existing compliance program.

About the Role:

The Trading Compliance Analyst will be responsible for performing trade surveillance activities, reviewing transactions and system-generated alerts, and investigating possible manipulative activities, policy violations, and/or other trading anomalies. You will also be responsible for continually improving the Trading Compliance program and internal control structure, identifying gaps and recommending risk-mitigating solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform trade surveillance activities and review transactions and system-generated alerts to prevent, detect, and investigate possible manipulative activities, policy violations, and/or other trading anomalies.
  • Continually improve the Trading Compliance program and internal control structure, identifying gaps and recommending risk-mitigating solutions.
  • Perform third-party due diligence activities, including understanding and monitoring international sanctions regimes and advising the business on other third-party risks.
  • Develop operational compliance tools, including policies and procedures.
  • Develop training and education programs and facilitate and lead training sessions on technical topics to educate stakeholders on compliance impacts to their business activities.
  • Liaise with corporate functions such as Legal, Audit, Risk, etc. to support initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Law or Business.
  • Proven experience in similar positions.
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory environment relating to market abuse.
  • Strong financial markets experience with knowledge within a broad range of markets and commodity products.
  • High proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to assess risks across trading operations, designing and implementing relevant processes/controls to mitigate them.
