Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Reservations Supervisor to become an integral part of the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, you will provide essential support and leadership to the reservations team on a daily basis.

  • Assist the Director of Revenue Management in evaluating competitive landscapes, pricing strategies, and future market demand.
  • Implement and oversee market-wide strategies and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensure effective execution of hotel sales strategies within the reservation systems.
  • Conduct regular health checks and optimizations of the Revenue System.
  • Manage all guest room reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Investigate any potential fraudulent reservations that could affect revenue performance.
  • Guarantee accuracy in reservations (segments, channels, routings, traces, etc.).
  • Address no-shows and manage non-guaranteed reservations.
  • Ensure all distribution channels support the hotel effectively and maintain rate parity.
  • Monitor daily online pricing to align with pricing strategies, maximizing revenue.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities.
  • Maintain communication with other departments, particularly Credit, Sales, Concierge, and Front Desk.
  • Assist in leading the daily operations of the Reservations Department and support the team in achieving departmental goals.
  • Oversee the upsell program for both the reservations and front desk teams.
  • Train team members as necessary, providing constructive feedback, reviewing processes, and monitoring outcomes. Guide team members in overcoming challenges related to upselling systems and methodologies.
  • Proactively communicate any potential system or reservation challenges to ensure outstanding service delivery at all times.
Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Revenue Management or Reservations.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with various teams and leaders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • Quick learner, adaptable to the unique culture of SLS.
  • Open-minded and receptive to new ideas, with a focus on teamwork and achieving results.
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a supportive and enjoyable team environment.
