Job Profile

The Digital Sales Development team at SAP plays a crucial role in guiding and influencing customers to make informed decisions during their digital transformation journey. This team is responsible for building and nurturing a pipeline of sales opportunities and incremental revenue aligned with the Sales and Marketing teams. The team focuses on prospecting into the SAP install base and net new name accounts, while nurturing leads into qualified opportunities within their assigned space.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

The Sales Development Manager will work with and develop a team focused on sourcing and nurturing demand to grow SAP's CX footprint in NNN & IB across all industries. The team will work with SAP & Partners resources, as well as Customers, to drive digital and high-quality engagement with potential customers, delivering a superior customer experience.

Overall Management

The Sales Development Manager is responsible for managing a team of Sales Development resources (commonly referred to as Sales Development Executives 'SDE') whose mission is to extend SAP's market coverage by generating new pipeline for SAP solutions. The manager's goals are to produce high-quality pipeline with a high conversion rate to bookings for the target business segment, develop SDE talent into the future Account Executives, and operate with excellence, taking data-driven business decisions to optimize Demand Generation tactics.

Pipeline and Demand Management

The Sales Development Manager ensures a healthy pipeline is in place for assigned areas of responsibility, designs Demand Generation activities jointly with regional SAP leadership, and regularly reviews the pipeline, consolidates, and communicates pipeline progression and revenue forecast to Channel Head and/or MU leader and other key stakeholders as required.

Experience and Language Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Demand Generation or Inside Sales environment, preferably with digital (remote) experience, specifically in high-volume customer-facing environments, phone-centric work, and high-volume activity working environments involving phone and a CRM/Contact Management System. The candidate should also have education/training on people management, human resources, coaching, or related fields and a passion for leading people with at least 1 year of previous experience leading people as a Team Leader or Manager in hybrid/remote working environments. Native/fluent German speaker and fluency in English are mandatory, and the location is Barcelona, Spain.
