Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Director to lead our in-licensing business development efforts. This role will identify, evaluate, and pursue opportunities that contribute to our organization's short and long-term business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate innovative drug development opportunities from pre-clinical through commercial stage.
  • Develop strategic partnerships or acquisitions through internal and external networking, attending scientific sessions, monitoring pipelines, news, and VCs, and industry leaders.
  • Evaluate potential targets and manage cross-functional processes involving R&D, contract manufacturing, internal manufacturing, IP, and legal teams.
  • Prepare presentation and marketing materials for professional partnering meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Negotiate deals and structure in-licensing and co-development agreements.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A University Degree (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Medicine, and/or Biology), with a PhD being an asset.
  • Fluent Spanish and English, with knowledge of other languages being an advantage.
  • +3-5 years of experience in in-licensing Business Development in an international environment.
  • Proven deal-making experience, both in early-stage and late-stage deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
