As an EPC Sales Executive, you'll drive strategic alignment with key EPCs across Europe and manage their international business opportunities. You'll be located in Spain (Madrid) and develop and implement account strategies focused on growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You'll collaborate with Sales Colleagues across Hitachi Energy to build customer relationships and deliver a varied opportunity pipeline to fulfill business goals.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You'll take care of the development of specific Account Strategies for the Grid Automation business with your nominated accounts to position Hitachi Energy as the partner of choice and drive profitable growth.
  • You'll drive alignment with the Business Goals and feed into the overall Account Strategy for Hitachi Energy.
  • You'll create added value for customers and Hitachi Energy by ensuring a coordinated sales proposition across business units.
  • You'll maintain detailed records of opportunities for your nominated accounts and visibility of business levels in the current and future years.
  • You'll be pivotal in setting and delivering the Sales Targets for your accounts and will support & coordinate with the Local Sales Teams to secure local business. You'll take responsibility for securing export orders where your nominated accounts are working on international opportunities.
  • You'll keep up knowledge of growth plans, target markets, and ambitions for each of your accounts & develop and implement the account plan to grow existing markets.
  • You'll be actively involved in the development of the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, coordination of the communications for your accounts across Europe, sharing best practices, and driving standardization on Hitachi Energy solutions.
  • You'll coordinate the sales & tendering activities and manage interfaces with operations teams.
  • You'll develop & maintain detailed knowledge of the customer's business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, and business drivers.

Your Background:

  • You'll have at least 5+ years' experience selling Automation Solutions to EPC contractors.
  • You'll have experience of managing international Sales Opportunities for engineered solutions.
  • You'll have a strong knowledge of markets for Automation Solutions for Electrical Networks and Grid Edge Solutions.
  • You'll have experience in coordinating international bid teams to develop innovative tenders.
  • You'll have proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
  • You'll have a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
  • You'll be available for international travel to visit customers (max. 30%).
  • You'll have a passion for disrupting traditional markets, delivering innovative solutions to secure new business.
  • You'll be fluent in English and Spanish.
