Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Event Coordinator to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife Abama. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of meetings and special events, ensuring seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing meetings and special events operations and budgets
  • Research and analyze new products, pricing, and services of competition
  • Assist in apprising property of all groups that will impact property operations
  • Conduct daily walk-through of banquet floor to help ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
  • Manage profitability by developing working relationships with outside vendors and establishing prices and service agreements
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by creating an atmosphere that meets or exceeds guest expectations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
