About the Role

The database market is a massive and rapidly growing industry, with MongoDB at the forefront of its disruption. As a Senior Sales Strategy Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping our Sales organization drive growth and innovation. This function acts as a business partner to our Senior Sales Leaders, and your responsibilities will range across a variety of strategic initiatives, including analyzing business rules, piloting new sales roles, optimizing sales processes, and analyzing sales data to drive business insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the analytical rhythm of our business, including quarterly business reviews and organizational deep dives
  • Partner with Senior Sales leadership to drive market and segment-specific analyses to uncover insights
  • Become an expert in business and compensation rules to fully understand how Sales operates
  • Conceptualize and pilot new programs to test the effectiveness of various sales roles and compensation plans
  • Participate in quarterly and annual business planning for the Sales teams
  • Collaborate with various business units to drive productivity and headcount scenario analyses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)
  • 5+ years of work experience in either Sales Strategy, Consulting, Sales Operations, or Analytics
  • Effective communicator who can break down complex technical concepts into simple business vernacular
  • Ability to write SQL queries to extract data needed for analysis
  • Spreadsheets wizard with the ability to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience with at least one major business intelligence tool (Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker)
  • Familiarity with databases and the differences between 'relational' vs. 'non-relational'
  • Ability to navigate Salesforce with relative ease
