The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This figure is based on national averages and may vary.

About the Role

The Services Engagement Manager (SEM) plays a critical role in ensuring successful customer engagements during the scoping and planning phase. You will be responsible for setting up our customers for success and representing the entire value proposition and effort behind a Veeva Clin Data Implementation.

This is a key position in the sales cycle, acting as a solution expert working closely with the Veeva Sales, Strategy, and Services Teams. You will utilize your clinical trial systems experience and Veeva product knowledge to structure the right solution, set client expectations correctly, and identify project charters, including staffing, timeframes, and associated costs.

You will deliver Proposals and Statements of Work (SOW), potentially recommending implementation partners and aligning the team strategically prior to project start. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Aligning closely with services and sales teams to provide implementation proposals and establish confidence with prospects
  • Setting client and internal stakeholder expectations correctly, focusing on long-term success
  • Providing awareness and alignment with the partner ecosystem
  • Positioning support, training, and other solutions needed for a successful customer experience
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years of experience delivering consulting services or involvement in selling services for Clinical Data Applications with a proven track record
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience scoping/defining project plans, resource models, and negotiation of Statements of Work for software implementation projects
  • Understanding of data capture for the clinical trials domain, including EDC, IVRS, safety systems, CTMS, and downstream databases, and eCOA
  • Familiarity with the Life Sciences Industry
  • Ability to engage audiences of varying perception levels, including executive leadership
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Collaborative and consultative work style
  • Ability to work under pressure with short or competing timelines
  • Ability to travel
