Key Responsibilities

As the Grid Engineering Manager, you will serve as the primary technical liaison between clients and Siemens Gamesa regarding grid-related matters for offshore initiatives during both the sales and execution stages.

  • Conduct grid requirements assessments to ensure Siemens Gamesa's technical compliance with industry standards.
  • Engage in technical sales discussions with clients and transmission authorities during the sales phase.
  • Oversee project management responsibilities during execution, ensuring adherence to contract specifications, including technical documentation and specialized support.
  • Provide assistance to Park Control specialists as needed.
  • Facilitate in-depth technical discussions with Siemens Gamesa's Technology and Product Portfolio Management teams to identify solutions for current and future product needs.
  • Review and conduct studies in various domains, including steady state, dynamics, and transients.

Qualifications

We seek individuals who are passionate about renewable energy and are eager to lead transformative change. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A Master's degree in electrical power engineering, ideally with experience in the wind turbine sector or grid development/operations. A Bachelor's degree with a robust technical foundation is also acceptable.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as PSCAD/EMTDC, Matlab/Simulink, PSS/E, DIgSILENT Power Factory, or similar.
  • A self-motivated, outgoing, and analytical mindset, capable of managing complex tasks while fostering strong networks.
  • Excellent command of English, with additional language skills in Chinese or French being advantageous.
  • A strong motivation to thrive in a technical and customer-focused environment.
  • Experience in conducting studies across steady state, dynamic, and transient domains.
  • Flexibility for remote work arrangements as necessary.
