Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Engineering Manager to join our team at Siemens Gamesa. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of our grid solutions, ensuring seamless execution of projects, and collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical requirements analysis for grid-related projects, ensuring Siemens Gamesa's compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform technical sales functions, discussing grid requirements with customers and transmission authorities.
  • Manage project execution, providing contract requirements, technical documentation, digital models, and specialized technical support within the grid area.
  • Support Park Control specialists and engage in highly specialized technical discussions with Siemens Gamesa's Technology and Product Portfolio Management departments.
  • Conduct studies in steady-state, dynamic, and transient domains, including revision and performance of technical reports.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in electrical power engineering, preferably with experience in the wind turbine business and/or grid developer/grid operator industries.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as PSCAD/EMTDC, Matlab/Simulink, PSS/E, DIgSILENT Power Factory, or similar.
  • Self-driven, extrovert, analytical, and able to create and maintain an overview of complex tasks, with excellent communication skills in English.
  • Motivated by working in a strong technical and customer-oriented environment.
  • Experience performing studies in steady-state, dynamic, and transient domains.
