About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Integration Engineer to join our team at Nordex Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of our wind turbines with grid codes and standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and evaluate grid code requirements and standards to ensure that all requirements have corresponding test cases.
  • Translate grid code requirements into software development processes, abstracting software requirements and test cases.
  • Develop internal product specifications for grid code compliance and support grid code compliance and grid connection in sales and project phases.
  • Define test plans for grid code compliance and quality assurance on wind farm, wind turbine, and component levels.
  • Perform, evaluate, and document grid code compliance tests, analysing test data.
  • Specify new functions and features to maintain and optimize grid code compliance on wind farm and wind turbine levels.
  • Collaborate with working groups, committees, and utilities to clarify grid code requirements.
  • Optimize processes within grid code compliance.

Your Profile

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or similar.
  • Experience with grid code requirements and defining test cases, ideally with test-driven development.
  • Good knowledge of grid code compliance on power plant levels and software details.
  • Programming experience in Python or similar for test analysis and automation.
  • Self-responsible, structured, customer-oriented, and solution-focused working mindset.
  • Intercultural understanding and ability to work collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies.
  • Fluent English spoken and written, with Spanish and/or German a plus.
