KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a product owner for Grid Code Compliance within Nordex.
  • Assess and interpret Grid Code requirements and standards, ensuring comprehensive test case coverage.
  • Facilitate the integration of Grid Code requirements into the software development lifecycle by abstracting software specifications and test cases as part of an agile development team.
  • Create internal product specifications for Grid Code adherence and assist in compliance during sales and project phases.
  • Develop test plans for Grid Code compliance and quality assurance at the wind farm, turbine, and component levels.
  • Conduct, assess, and document Grid Code compliance tests, analyzing the resulting data.
  • Define new functionalities and features to achieve, maintain, and enhance Grid Code compliance at both wind farm and turbine levels.
  • Clarify and refine Grid Code requirements through collaboration in working groups, committees, and direct communication with utilities and clients.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Nordex products to accurately evaluate Grid Code compliance.
  • Streamline processes related to Grid Code compliance.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with Grid Code requirements and experience in defining test cases, preferably with a background in test-driven development.
  • Strong understanding of Grid Code compliance at the power plant level and the software intricacies necessary to achieve this, ideally gained through experience with a wind turbine OEM or similar.
  • Proficient in programming with Python or similar languages to support test analysis and automation.
  • Possess a self-directed, organized, customer-focused, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Exhibit intercultural awareness and excel in collaborative teamwork across various functions and regions.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in Spanish and/or German is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and assertive approach as a team player.
  • Understand the significance of testing in the context of this role.
