About the Role

Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Grid Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of our wind turbines with grid codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of grid codes and standards, including analysis and evaluation of requirements and standards.
  • Translate grid code requirements into software development processes, creating abstract software requirements and test cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop internal product specifications for grid code compliance and support grid connection within sales and project phases.
  • Define test plans for grid code compliance and quality assurance on wind farm, wind turbine, and component levels.
  • Perform, evaluate, and document grid code compliance tests, analyzing test data.
  • Specify new functions and features to maintain and optimize grid code compliance on wind farm and wind turbine levels.
  • Participate in working groups, committees, and direct exchanges with utilities and customers to clarify grid code requirements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Nordex products to assess grid code compliance.
  • Optimize processes within grid code compliance.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or similar.
  • Experience with grid code requirements and defining test cases, ideally with test-driven development.
  • Good knowledge of grid code compliance on power plant level and software details to achieve this.
  • Programming experience in Python or similar supporting test analysis and automation.
  • Self-responsible, structured, customer-oriented working mindset.
  • Intercultural understanding and ability to work collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies.
  • Fluent English spoken and written. Spanish and/or German is a plus.
  • Good communication skills, proactive, and assertive team player.
