Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Connection Specialist to join our team at Nordex Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring Grid Code compliance across our wind farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and evaluate Grid Code requirements and standards to ensure seamless integration with our software development process.
  • Translate Grid Code requirements into actionable software requirements and test cases, driving our agile development process forward.
  • Develop internal product specifications for Grid Code compliance, supporting sales and project phases with expertise.
  • Define test plans for Grid Code compliance and quality assurance on wind farm, wind turbine, and component levels.
  • Perform, evaluate, and document Grid Code compliance tests, analysing test data to ensure accuracy.
  • Specifying new functions and features to maintain and optimise Grid Code compliance on wind farm and wind turbine levels.
  • Collaborate with working groups, committees, and utilities to clarify Grid Code requirements and shape our compliance strategy.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Nordex products to assess Grid Code compliance and optimise processes.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or similar.
  • Experience with Grid Code requirements, defining test cases, and ideally test-driven development.
  • Good knowledge of Grid Code compliance on power plant level and software details to achieve this.
  • Programming experience in Python or similar to support test analysis and automatization.
  • Self-responsible, structured, customer-oriented working mindset.
  • Intercultural understanding and ability to work collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies.
  • Fluent English spoken and written, with Spanish and/or German a plus.
  • Proactive, assertive team player with strong communication skills.
