We are currently seeking a Power System Engineer to enhance our Grid Connection department.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical simulation models for Wind Turbines and Wind Farms using Electromagnetic Transient models, incorporating features such as snapshot capabilities and multi-run functionalities.
- Create and implement converter control algorithms tailored for grid integration.
- Integrate dynamic link libraries (DLLs) or automatically generated code into existing systems.
- Evaluate model performance and analyze results, providing critical feedback to various departments.
- Assess and validate model performance in relation to Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) capabilities.
- Investigate and resolve modeling issues.
- Document all activities, including design reports, validation reports, and user manuals.
- Develop automation tools to streamline simulation processes and report generation.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing PSCAD models or creating new converter control algorithms.
- Background in Grid Connection, with familiarity in grid code requirements.
- Strong knowledge in Power System engineering, including:
- Transmission and distribution networks.
- Grid components such as power transformers, cables, and reactive power compensation devices.
- Power electronics and electrical machines.
- Harmonics analysis and transient stability.
- Electromagnetic transient simulations and dynamic studies.
- Small Signal Stability analysis.
- Proficiency in software tools including PSCAD, Fortran, C, MATLAB, Simulink, and RSCAD.
