Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Area Sales Manager to join our Transformers Business Unit in Córdoba, Spain. As a key member of our sales organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers throughout the sales process and driving business growth in the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Sales team and customers to develop new and existing business opportunities, leveraging your knowledge of products and markets to drive sales growth.
  2. Participate in sales strategy discussions, setting short- and long-term goals and negotiating sales budgets and marketing plans to achieve business objectives.
  3. Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs and competitor offers, ensuring effective marketing actions and communications that demonstrate the value proposition of our products, systems, services, and packages.
  4. Provide technical support, product presentations, and product/solution/service-related training to the area Sales organization and customers, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to make informed purchasing decisions.
  5. Take ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient issue resolution and analyze the root cause of lost proposals to improve future competitiveness.
  6. Perform sales performance reviews, propose recovery plans for potential order shortfalls, and provide regular sales activity reports to support production planning.
  7. Embody our core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for your colleagues and the business.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Industrial Engineering.
  2. More than 5 years of experience in direct sales and sales management.
  3. Sound knowledge of Hitachi ABB Power Grids products and services, and the power generation market.
  4. Current work permit valid in Spain.
  5. Fluent English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  6. Experience in business development, account management, and cross-selling across systems, solutions, products, and service categories.
  7. Understanding of contract negotiation, risk management, and commercial and legal terms.
  8. Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, customer-focused mindset, and a professional, "can-do" attitude.
