Job Purpose: As a Business Development Manager at TD SYNNEX, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by translating our technology growth plans into actionable strategies and executing them in specific strategic segments. You will work closely with our marketing team to align our marketing development funds (MDF) and with our sales organization to identify and pursue specialized opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Grow Profitable Market Share: Execute the Business Unit strategy to drive profitable market share growth, working under the supervision of senior leadership.
  2. Negotiate Key Tenders: Negotiate key tenders and large deals with a deep understanding of our assigned vendors' product/service lines.
  3. Optimize Results: Drive sales from our agreed vendor portfolio, including identifying new vendors, onboarding, and other business development initiatives.
  4. Build Successful Proposals: Gather customer information and plan effective approaches to demonstrate an understanding of customer requirements.
  5. Take Solution and Service Offerings to Market: Take our solution and service offerings to market, including Technology as a Service (TaaS).
  6. Own Quarterly Vendor Business Planning: Own quarterly vendor business planning and execution.
  7. Enable Sales Teams: Enable and support our sales teams to win and grow share of wallet and market share.
  8. Maintain Relationships: Maintain relationships and engagement with vendors and stakeholders to position TD SYNNEX as the Trusted Advisor.
  9. Ensure Business Continuity: Ensure ongoing use of CRM tools to ensure best-in-class business continuity.
  10. Stay Up-to-Date: Maintain full knowledge of assigned Vendor's product/service line.

Requirements:

  1. Emotional Intelligence: Possess good emotional intelligence.
  2. Strategic Direction: Demonstrate a clear understanding of strategic direction and challenges.
  3. Communication Skills: Communicate effectively using a wide range of tools with customers.
  4. Industry Experience: 1-3 years of experience in the IT industry with channel and/or vendor at a business development level, ideally from a sales or product marketing background.
  5. Solution Selling: Strong orientation towards and experience in services and solution selling.
  6. Strategic Planning: Strategic planning and business case development.
  7. Matrix Structure: Experience of working within a matrix structure.
  8. Self-Management: Proven ability to self-manage in an external environment.
  9. Business Planning: Business planning experience with strong operational cadence.
