Hotel Operations Trainer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Operations Trainer to join our team at SmartRental Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for our hotel staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Training Program Development
  • Design and deliver training programs for hotel staff, focusing on operational procedures, service standards, and guest interaction.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and objectives.
  • Develop training materials, manuals, and resources tailored to the specific needs of our hotel operations.
  1. Training Delivery
  • Conduct in-depth training sessions for hotel staff, utilizing a variety of training methods, including classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, role-playing, and on-the-job training.
  • Ensure that all hotel staff are proficient in using property management systems (PMS), housekeeping software, and other relevant tools.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental training to promote teamwork and a holistic understanding of hotel operations.
  1. Operational Readiness
  • Lead operational simulations, soft openings, and trial runs to assess staff readiness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in establishing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hotel operations.
  • Monitor the implementation of brand standards and service protocols, making adjustments as necessary.
  1. Team Development
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to new hires, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Assess the skills and competencies of hotel staff, providing feedback and additional training as required.
  • Identify and nurture high-potential employees for future leadership roles within hotel operations.
  1. Post-Opening Support
  • Offer ongoing training and support during the initial weeks of operation, addressing any challenges or issues that arise.
  • Collect feedback from staff and guests to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel operations management or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience with hotel pre-openings is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Training & Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish & English. Other languages will be valued.
  • Availability to travel.
