Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Ideematec Inc. as a key member of our solar energy division. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of our solar tracker systems, ensuring the optimal alignment of solar modules to maximize energy yield in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop project-specific foundation designs based on geotechnical conditions and system-specific foundation loads.
- Plan and coordinate pull-out-test campaigns for solar tracker structures in collaboration with Sales, Application Engineering, and Customers.
- Evaluate the results of pull-out tests and oversee the company's geotechnical and PoT-surveys.
- Review geotechnical reports for foundation and corrosion estimation for offer proposals.
- Provide engineering support on certification processes and customer requests.
- Collaborate with Sales, Project Design, Development teams, and external stakeholders.
- Support project execution teams in after-sales tasks.
- Hold a degree in civil engineering, geoscience, geophysics, or a comparable qualification (diploma, bachelor, master, or higher).
- Optional: possess 3+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer or a similar role with a demonstrable interest in the sustainable solar industry.
- Experience in the development and coordination of geotechnical fieldwork and construction activities, along with crew management expertise, will be highly regarded.
- Desirable: interested in structural calculation software (L-PILE, SAP2000, HyperWorks).
- Confident handling of international standards such as Eurocode 7 and ASCE 7 in the latest versions.
- Proficient in speaking and writing English to both executives and technical stakeholders; German and Spanish are a benefit.
- Strong coordination skills, good time-management skills, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent team player with outstanding interpersonal, intercultural skills, and a 'can-do' attitude.
