Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook Supervisor to join our team at Marriott Vacations Worldwide. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and presentation.
  • Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays to enhance the dining experience.
  • Monitor the quantity of food prepared and ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to be served.
  • Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items to ensure seamless service.
  • Prepare special meals or substitute items to satisfy guest requests and promote customer satisfaction.
  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed and provide cooks with needed items to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate kitchen staff.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a clean and safe kitchen.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures and ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
