About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our Commercial Platforms team in driving business growth and innovation at Philip Morris International.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team to provide effective solutions for business development and growth.
  • Manage IT resources to deliver secure systems solutions and associated services for the Spanish market and backup other cluster markets when required.
  • Closely work with senior business collaborators and offer guidance to local affiliate management on IT-related business issues.
  • Serve as the main contact for IT in the ES Market, addressing concerns and providing feedback on locally and centrally managed solutions/services.
  • Ensure projects are managed by the team according to defined scopes, budgets, planning, and resources.
  • Identify future business 'Service Owners', define the application delivery model, and set up the appropriate support mode (if necessary).
  • Contribute to the deployment and configuration of global PMI IT solutions, respecting PMI principles and procedures.
  • Ensure participation in the technical acceptance phase to ensure that the delivered functionalities correspond to the expressed needs.
  • Support business departments during business acceptance phases.
  • Apply PMI project management, change management, and service management methods.
  • Ensure that all measures are taken to reduce risks, improve quality, and secure financial impacts as well as the project deployment plan.
  • Manage the IT resources assigned to the project.
  • Anticipate and coordinate cross-functional resources needed to ensure project success (such as Procurement, Legal, other IT areas, Finance, External services, and/or external consultants).
  • Monitor and assess the performance of IT service providers.
  • Audit the deliverables of service providers to ensure they meet PMI requirements.
  • Ensure technical setups align with PMI prerequisites and standards (including security).
  • Develop expertise around global IT solutions offered by PMI teams and act as a liaison between local commercial departments and PMI IT teams.
  • Support business departments in managing access to applications and resolving bugs.
  • Advise and train users on applications.
  • Collect user feedback to ensure the continuous improvement of applications.
  • Take responsibility for communication regarding piloted projects: regularly sharing project progress reports with all collaborators and responding to any additional requests for updates.
  • Act as Budget Planner for the Cluster if required.
  • Guide and mentor local team members to foster their professional development (training, certification) and assist them in shaping their career trajectories.
  • Cultivate and retain top talent to provide IT services needed by PMI, both presently and in the future.
  • Contribute to strategic proposals for Spain and drive and influence in-year Market plans as part of the Extended Leadership Team (ELT) of the ES Market.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of business/IT experience.
  • Experience in a large multinational company including management experience (in IT or business) and IT applications and/or technology environment experience.
  • Cross-functional work experience.
  • IT global work experience.
  • Understanding of key IT delivery processes.
  • Very good understanding of business objectives and ability to analyze business needs: Ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise IT systems, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborator management skills.
  • Strong managerial skills:
    • Being able to manage resources based in different locations.
    • Ensure mentoring and growth of reporting resources.
    • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management.
