Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Portfolio Manager to join our team at The Cigna Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the coordination and governance of products/assets in the clinical strategy and execution.

This role will work cross-functionally with other teams to coordinate and support the success of the portfolio of programs. You will provide post-delivery support in monitoring and reporting on performance and quality of programs, including identifying and capturing program efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead overall clinical portfolio schedule and progress, partnering with market business lead on issues and mitigation plans.
  • Lead communication and change efforts across all project teams, instituting a continuous feedback loop.
  • Provide single point of truth for overall status reporting, including schedule, scope, budget, issues, and risks.
  • Proactively identify and escalate portfolio issues and risks, facilitating development of mitigation plans.
  • Provide information and analysis to drive decision-making and support business operations for internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate and partner with the business to design new and improved business processes aligned to future strategies.
  • Assess impacts and provide solutions or direction on strategic and baseline opportunities.
  • Provide risk assessment and mitigation for escalation and decision-making.
  • Identify and remove barriers that slow or prevent successful attainment of quality and delivery goals.
  • Lead project/program governance to ensure aligned delivery.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of project management experience or equivalent, using tools and frameworks to execute projects.
  • Critical thinker with pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and influence across the organization.
  • Proven ability to function in a heavily matrixed environment.
  • Strong communication and information sharing skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong detail orientation, change management, and coaching skills.
  • Proven experience working with senior leaders, facilitating discussions, and driving action.
  • Ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with automated processes and computer applications and systems.
