About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Sales Mid Market to lead our sales team in driving growth and revenue in the Mid Market segment. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve sales excellence and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop Sales Teams: Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets and other specific goals.
  • Design and Implement Sales Strategies: Foster a data-driven approach to lead teams and design metric-driven strategies to achieve sales excellence.
  • Grow Mid Market Segment: Define opportunities for growth within the Mid Market segment and build a repeatable GTM plan to drive consistency and predictability in achieving sales excellence.
  • Coach and Develop Team Members: Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members to support professional development and strengthen skill sets.
  • Oversee Sales Activity and Processes: Maintain an expert level of product knowledge to support current and potential customer questions and provide a better understanding of the tools to overcome hesitations and offer clarity to Semrush's solutions.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and other teams to build demand and represent the sales team.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading large sales teams with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience growing and developing teams and individuals.
  • Sales Methodology: Experience in coaching value selling and sales methodology training, such as Sandler, Challenger, Spin, Meddic, or others.
  • Business Acumen: Strong analytical skills and ability to develop people and drive business results.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with team members, customers, and cross-functional teams.
