Position Overview: Sales Applications Engineer

Location: Barcelona

Our motion control solutions address the challenges faced by technology-driven original equipment manufacturers worldwide. We collaborate closely with our clients to develop innovative motion control solutions that tackle some of the most pressing issues in healthcare and manufacturing.

We are expanding our team and are in search of a motivated and skilled Sales Applications Engineer. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, providing exceptional support to our sales, marketing, and product development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with commercial team members to identify key clients, assess their needs, and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Work closely with product developers to gain a comprehensive understanding of key features and suggest improvements for usability in customer applications.
  • Partner cross-functionally to devise and implement sales strategies, launching products and applications to key clients in Robotics & Automation.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support to ensure accurate product specifications and selections.
  • Ensure that applications meet customer requirements, proactively addressing and resolving technical challenges throughout the sales process.
  • Assist in prototyping, costing, testing, and validating new applications in Robotics & Automation utilizing our products.
  • Visit key clients alongside territory managers to offer application/system-level technical guidance.
  • Participate in conferences, contribute to technical articles, and develop materials aimed at promoting our technologies within Robotics & Automation.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electronics, Telecommunication, Industrial Engineering) or a related field, along with prior experience in technical sales or engineering.
  • Experience in design engineering, applications engineering, high-tech sales support, or field service.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical clients and mentor others in doing so.
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused, with a self-motivated approach and strong teamwork skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in English.

Travel Requirements

  • Must possess a valid passport and be willing to travel within EMEA as needed, with potential travel requirements of up to 10%.
