Position Overview

The Applications Engineer plays a vital role in delivering technical assistance to the sales department, ensuring customer retention while facilitating profitable growth in the High-Performance Industrial (HPI) and Chemical Process Industries (CPI).

This role collaborates closely with both European and Global teams to assess market demands and evaluate the introduction of new products to meet these needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance to the commercial sales team, concentrating on HPI, CPI, and Acid Gas Treatment across the Iberia Region and potentially throughout Europe. Work alongside European and Global teams to pinpoint market requirements and assess new product launches. Perform technical evaluations in existing accounts and explore potential new accounts. Present technical information to various levels within customer organizations. Diagnose technical challenges and offer equipment inspection support at key HPI/CPI accounts in the region. Understand specific customer issues, formulate corrective action plans, and communicate these to the sales team. Clearly articulate the distinct benefits of Veolia WTS chemical treatment and service offerings to clients.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (chemistry). At least three years of relevant experience. Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (Excel or Google Sheets). Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft and/or Google applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (20-40% of the time). Familiarity with process documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Heat & Material balances. Valid driver's license required.
