Senior Financial Strategist - Inside Sales Division

An exciting opportunity has emerged to become a part of the Commercial Finance team within Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS). This pivotal role reports directly to the Director of Commercial Finance - Global Commercial Support.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the sales team, providing essential insights and aiding in the identification of various commercial opportunities across the Global Inside Sales portfolio. Additionally, you will assist the Commercial Finance team with international projects and strategic initiatives. Your influence and dynamism will be crucial in delivering substantial value throughout the organization.

EPS harnesses the strengths of the Expedia Group's partner-facing APIs and template products, focusing on B2B solutions that empower numerous partners globally. As the partner-centric division of Expedia Group, EPS aims to furnish its partners with innovative solutions that drive their growth.

EPS collaborates with a diverse array of businesses, including loyalty programs, airlines, travel agencies, corporate travel management firms, and online retailers that promote EPS rates and availability to their customers. Partners can engage with EPS products in a manner that best fits their business model, whether through fully customizable environments via EPS APIs or ready-to-use white-label or co-branded template solutions, along with agent tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial modeling for commercial agreements within the Global Inside Sales portfolio and assist in the negotiation and finalization of these agreements.
  • Evaluate and analyze current business performance to drive improvements in both revenue and profitability across the Global Inside Sales portfolio.
  • Serve as the finance lead in preparing the annual plan and quarterly forecasting processes for the Global Inside Sales portfolio, ensuring key deliverables such as Executive presentations are robust and achievable.
  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial management reports and high-level commentary for Executive distribution.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support cross-regional commercial initiatives and conduct in-depth investigations into specific topics to foster business growth.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and sales leadership to enhance operational reporting, focusing on providing deeper insights into business performance.
  • Develop and implement improved processes and controls to enable sustainable and profitable scaling of the Global Inside Sales business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2:1 or equivalent and a strong academic background.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial finance.
  • Proven ability to analyze data to address business challenges and deliver valuable insights.
  • Skilled in interpreting and presenting data in a visually engaging manner for both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines.
  • Adept at building relationships, listening attentively, and negotiating effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and presentation tools.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings.
