Position Overview
The Global Risk Technical Support team is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to deliver expert assistance for enterprise-level SAS software applications and solutions. This role demands specialized knowledge of software functionalities, features, and the interplay between various applications and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical assistance to clients utilizing or troubleshooting complex multi-tier software applications and solutions, including those hosted in cloud environments.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with clients and SAS experts throughout the problem-solving process. Ensure accurate documentation and information management within the case management system.
- Manage expectations and project pressures at all levels of technical and business management, including coordinating problem escalation activities as necessary.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of SAS products and relevant technical and business domains. Utilize expertise to interpret documentation, recommend suitable software features, and resolve intricate technical issues.
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model for new team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Financial Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software development, testing, consulting, or supporting complex software applications.
- Familiarity with SAS applications is advantageous.
- Experience in implementing risk management solutions is preferred.
