Position Overview:

The SAP Human Capital Management Specialist plays a crucial role within the Application Management Services (AMS) department, reporting directly to the AMS Cluster Lead. This position is dedicated to providing exceptional support to our outsourced clients through the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert application support consultancy, offering advice, guidance, and executing relevant technical activities.
  • Manage and resolve tickets based on functional analysis, ensuring effective implementation of solutions.
  • Create maintainable, error-free code and customizations that adhere to Alight's best practices.
  • Implement HR Service Packs (HRSP) effectively.
  • Conduct necessary system tests using provided or self-generated test data to verify that applications and developments meet specified requirements.
  • Document both technical and functional aspects of issues addressed.
  • Prioritize personal daily tasks and assigned tickets, ensuring deadlines are consistently met while regularly updating the AMS Cluster Lead on progress.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on status, resolutions, and root causes of issues.
  • Comprehend the overall HR processes and the architecture of SAP HR.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in SAP HCM.
  • Extensive configuration skills in SAP HCM & Payroll.
  • Hands-on experience with German Payroll, including schemas, PCRs, wage type creation, and basic pay configuration.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Business or Technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality support in Human Resources.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while consistently meeting quality standards.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a strong focus on client satisfaction and accountability.
  • Dedication to the customer, team, and project goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-quality solutions through system configuration that aligns with business requirements.
  • Possess the capability to configure HCM modules, particularly Payroll (evaluations & schemas).
  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for one or more accounts, coordinating tasks and providing technical support to fellow consultants.
  • Lead HR Services for SAP Payroll Management, focusing on development, defect identification, and resolution.
  • Analyze payroll and time schemas to determine root causes and solutions for discrepancies.
  • Address complex issues related to overtime, social security calculations, legal reporting, allowances, sickness, taxes, and specific German payroll configurations.
  • Participate in SAP HR projects as a key member of a cross-functional team, contributing to the delivery of HR Services.
  • Ensure the integrity of time and attendance data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve HCM & Payroll issues for both internal and external clients, maintaining accurate and timely updates in ticket logging systems.
