Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
  2. Assist the Housekeeping Manager in managing departmental budgets, inventory, and supplies.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, including Front Office and Engineering, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  5. Conduct regular inspections to ensure public areas, guest rooms, and equipment meet high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  6. Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to housekeeping staff to enhance performance and address any issues.
  7. Support the Housekeeping Manager in handling guest complaints, special requests, and VIP needs.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and company policies to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  2. Previous experience with pre-opening of a hotel is highly desirable.
  3. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
