Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Business Development Specialist to join our team at Cummins Spain. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and implementing specific business development initiatives and tactics within a given product segment, market, region, or channel.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, market trends, competitors, and opportunities in the power generation sector in Spain.
  2. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and reach out to potential customers, including utilities, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and other entities requiring power generation solutions.
  3. Solution Customization: Understand customer needs and requirements and work closely with engineering and technical teams to tailor power generation solutions to meet those needs effectively.
  4. Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive and compelling proposals and presentations outlining Cummins' power generation capabilities, value proposition, and proposed solutions.
  5. Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients on pricing, terms, and conditions to secure profitable contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with company policies.
  6. Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the power generation sector in Spain to inform strategic decision-making and maintain competitive advantage.
  7. Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts to management, including analysis of sales performance against targets and objectives.
  8. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions, manage leads, and maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities.
  9. Travel and Networking: Travel as needed within Spain to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in networking activities to expand Cummins' presence and reach in the market.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the power generation sector in Spain, as well as excellent business development and sales skills. You will also need to be proficient in Spanish and English.
