Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Services Manager to lead our on-site IT operations in the Canary Islands. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for managing the implementation and execution of all required global and local infrastructure systems, providing end-user computing services, and ensuring the delivery of all services dedicated to support of on-site users.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site IT Operations Management: Manage the on-site IT operations in the Canary Islands, ensuring the delivery of all services dedicated to support of on-site users and provision of the infrastructure for running JTI business.
  • Vendor Selection and Management: Select qualified external vendors/suppliers as per JTI's Operating Guidelines, policies, and procedures and J-Sox controls.
  • Service Delivery and Budget Management: Deliver required service levels as measured by objective KPIs and dashboards, following the established JTI IT policies and strategic directions. Ensure regional on-site IT operations are effective, efficient, adhere to the budget for the on-site IT operations and strategic vendors.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Track and timely preparation and submission of the Canary Islands on-site IT operations financial plans/budgets (SPC/ASP/LE).
  • IT Administrative Activities: Oversee necessary IT administrative activities for the sub-cluster.

Requirements

  • Education: University Degree in Computer or Technical Science or strong IT background.
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of IT management (including people management) with more than 7 years of overall experience in IT discipline. Preferred background employment experience would be in multinational companies.
  • Language Skills: Advanced English. Should have an adequate knowledge of technology, which is standard within JTI, such as Microsoft solutions, local and wide area network, telecommunication, ERP, CRM business process analysis.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: High level of communication and negotiation skills.
  • Cultural Awareness: Highly effective in a geographically distributed global environment. Culturally aware. Able to prioritize on specific areas within region.
  • Business Knowledge: Strategic insight and good knowledge of JTI business and related processes such as HR, Legal, Finance, GSC, Leaf, SRA areas, M&S.
