Position Summary

The Technical Service Specialist is responsible for overseeing the service operations of designated instrument platforms, ensuring optimal functionality and performance. This role involves collaborating with a dedicated team of technical experts to deliver exceptional service to clients and field personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve advanced technical challenges.
  • Ensure service performance metrics are met, including First Time Fix rates and timely solutions.
  • Provide training and support to Field Service Engineers (FSE) on assigned platforms.
  • Deliver remote and on-site assistance to FSE as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for FSE reference.
  • Establish and maintain communication with manufacturers for service enhancements.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff.
  • Manage instrument repairs and testing in the workshop.
  • Review service performance with the Business Unit regularly.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on service operations.
  • Oversee the operational efficiency of assigned units.
  • Determine appropriate stock levels to meet repair commitments.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures.
  • Address mechanical and spare parts issues with manufacturers.
  • Provide application support as necessary.

Networking and Key Relationships

  • Collaborate with Service Area Managers, Service Managers, HelpLine, Supply Chain, and planners.
  • Engage with Clinical Application support roles.
  • Work closely with Business Unit managers and product managers.

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical service support.
  • Educational background in technical fields such as Industrial, Electronic, Informatics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English for technical and corporate communication.

Travel Requirements
