Position Overview:
EF Education First is on the lookout for a dedicated and results-driven professional to join our Customer Success team as a Collections Representative. In this role, you will engage with customers and clients who have outstanding balances, assisting them in making payments or establishing feasible payment arrangements. Your primary objective will be to reduce bad debts and enhance the company's cash flow while fostering positive relationships with our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate contact with individuals and businesses that have overdue accounts through various communication methods.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while discussing outstanding debts and payment options.
- Evaluate the financial circumstances of debtors to propose the most appropriate repayment solutions.
- Facilitate negotiations for payment arrangements and set up automatic payment schedules when necessary.
- Accurately document all interactions, discussions, and agreements with debtors in a timely manner.
- Provide management with precise and timely reports regarding collection activities and outcomes.
- Adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies governing debt collection practices.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and disputes with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as customer service and sales, to resolve outstanding debts and prevent future issues.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in debt collection, customer service, or a related area.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to negotiate and persuade.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the capacity to remain composed and professional in challenging situations.
- Comprehensive understanding of debt collection laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for managing customer information and generating reports.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
