The Operations Area Supervisor at Amazon Road Transport Spain, S.L.U. is responsible for fostering effective collaboration between Delivery Stations, external partners, and Central Operations (CO) teams while achieving operational targets.

Utilizing various tools, leading a dedicated team, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders is essential in this role.

This position demands the ability to make independent decisions for immediate challenges and to operate with minimal oversight for longer-term strategies.

Such decisions will significantly influence the management of capacity and delivery timelines across the organization.


As an Area Supervisor, you will oversee a team of up to 25 associates during your shift, including approximately 6 direct reports, acting as the primary problem solver and escalation point for both your team and other involved parties.

You will also be responsible for providing regular updates to Program Managers regarding operational status or significant issues, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of workflow and daily performance metrics. This includes labor allocation, training new team members, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and service level agreements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels to facilitate the seamless exchange of accurate information across Amazon teams, fostering trust among stakeholders by providing transparency in actions and decisions.
  • Scale operations, tools, and processes to support business growth while upholding high standards for customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain team in areas such as Sales and Operations Planning, ensuring alignment and execution of strategies at both the Delivery Station and country levels.
  • Partner with technical and business teams to enhance planning, execution, and process optimization, while monitoring progress against established goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks, drive resolution of critical issues, manage escalations, and propose corrective actions to ensure initiatives remain on track.
  • Maintain and provide accurate reporting of key performance indicators, management reports, and analyses.
The designated shift pattern for this role is rotational (Sun - Thu and Tue - Sat) every 12 weeks.

Basic Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Science, or a related field;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on quantitative analysis and prioritization of deliverables;
  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal communication);
  • Experience with performance metrics and process enhancement, demonstrating strong analytical skills;
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with logistics operations is advantageous;
  • Proven experience in leading teams of 10 or more individuals;
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Experience with programming and coding languages (SQL or Python) is a plus.
