The Operations Area Supervisor at Amazon Road Transport Spain, S.L.U. is responsible for fostering effective interactions among Delivery Stations, external partners, and operational teams while achieving key performance objectives.

Utilizing various tools, managing a dedicated team, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders is essential in this role.

This position demands the ability to make independent decisions for immediate challenges and limited oversight for medium to long-term strategies.

Such decisions significantly influence the capacity management and delivery timelines within the organization.


In this role, Area Supervisors will lead a team of up to 25 associates during shifts, with approximately 6 direct reports, acting as the primary problem solver and escalation point for both the team and external stakeholders.

They will also provide regular updates to Program Managers regarding operational status or significant escalations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of workflow and daily performance metrics. Responsibilities include labor allocation, training new associates, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and service level agreements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication processes to guarantee the seamless flow of accurate information across Amazon teams, fostering transparency and trust among stakeholders.
  • Enhance services, tools, and processes to support business growth in operational complexity and geographic reach while upholding high customer experience standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain team in areas such as Sales and Operations Planning to align and implement strategies at the operational and national levels.
  • Partner with technical and business teams to optimize planning, execution, and process enhancements while tracking progress against established goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks, drive the resolution of critical issues, manage escalations, and propose corrective actions to ensure initiatives remain on track.
  • Maintain and report accurate key performance indicators, management reports, and analyses.
The designated shift pattern for this role is rotative (Sun - Thu and Tue - Sat) every 12 weeks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Science, or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze challenges quantitatively and prioritize deliverables effectively.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal communication).
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with logistics operations is advantageous.
  • Proven experience leading teams of 10 or more individuals.
  • Strong logical reasoning, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with programming and coding languages (SQL or Python) is a plus.
