Role Overview

Schiller International University is in search of an innovative and strategic Marketing Brand Strategist to lead and implement the branding initiatives for the institution across its various campuses and digital platforms. This role is pivotal in strengthening the university's brand perception, boosting brand recognition, and ensuring a unified brand narrative. The ideal candidate will be a strategic visionary with a strong enthusiasm for higher education, a comprehensive grasp of branding concepts, and the capability to guide interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy Formulation and Execution:

  • Craft and execute detailed brand strategies that resonate with the university's core mission, vision, and values.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to pinpoint brand positioning and potential growth areas.
  • Stay abreast of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies to uncover opportunities and challenges.

2. Brand Identity Management:

  • Guarantee the consistent application of the brand's visual and verbal identity across all platforms.
  • Supervise the development of brand guidelines and ensure compliance across the institution.
  • Oversee the university's visual and messaging components to uphold brand integrity.

3. Marketing and Communication Initiatives:

  • Design and implement multi-channel marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce content that effectively conveys the university's brand.
  • Manage the creation and dissemination of promotional materials, digital content, and advertisements.

4. Team Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Engage closely with various departments, including Admissions, Alumni Relations, and Academic Affairs, to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing direction and support in brand-related endeavors.
  • Coordinate with external partners and vendors to amplify brand initiatives.

5. Digital Presence and Social Media Management:

  • Oversee and enhance the university's online presence, including social media channels, website, and digital campaigns.
  • Evaluate digital marketing metrics and refine campaigns based on performance insights.
  • Ensure the university's digital footprint accurately reflects the brand's identity and engages the target demographic.

6. Event Coordination and Public Relations:

  • Organize and execute brand-centric events, both in-person and virtual, to enrich brand experience and engagement.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage public relations efforts to uphold the university's reputation and visibility.

7. Brand Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of brand initiatives and campaigns.
  • Compile reports on brand performance, offering insights and recommendations for enhancement.
  • Utilize analytics to evaluate brand equity and its influence on student recruitment and retention.
  • Regularly present brand performance metrics, campaign outcomes, and strategic insights to the Marketing Director.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a similar role.
  • Strong comprehension of brand strategy, marketing principles, and digital marketing.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and software, including social media platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
  • Creative problem-solver with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience in the higher education sector is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
