Senior Legal Counsel for E-commerce

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our E-commerce team in Madrid. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in supporting our rapidly growing e-commerce business across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Expert Advice: Offer guidance on operational, regulatory, commercial, and product-related matters, with a focus on consumer protection, B2B and B2C engagement, product compliance, advertising, influencer marketing, and intellectual property.
- Support Business Growth: Assist the business in understanding and complying with European legal and regulatory requirements when launching and operating new products, features, and initiatives in the EU.
- Contribute to E-commerce Initiatives: Review consumer and business-facing disclosures, policies, and terms and conditions, and support feature development to enhance the user experience.
- Commercial Agreements: Review, draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements relevant to digital and e-commerce platforms.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to template development, process improvement, and internal training, identifying opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce contractual friction.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with local and international stakeholders across the e-commerce business and in cross-functional teams to deliver projects against short timeframes, setting priorities and managing legal risk.
- Strong academic background with legal qualifications in Spain.
- Senior lawyer with experience advising on platform liability, intellectual property, consumer protection, and other regulatory matters, with an e-commerce focus.
- Knowledge of UK and EU laws as they apply to the retail sector and e-commerce platforms.
- Solid experience in drafting and negotiation of agreements across the retail, creative, and advertising industries.
- Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
