About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modality Sales Specialist to join our team at Philips. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and creating growth in Healthcare IT (Enterprise Informatics) revenue and market share in Iberia, with a focus on Spain.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical and Clinical Expertise: Provide technical and clinical expertise through sales presentations and product/solutions demonstrations to Customers.
  2. Deal Identification and Development: Identify new deals well in advance in the assigned territory of Spain and build relationships with Customer's key persons.
  3. Competitor Analysis: Identify possible competitors and their strengths and weaknesses.
  4. Customer Relationship Management: Establish or maintain relationships with current Customers and address their needs to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  5. Solution Formulation: Formulate solutions for Customers by combining knowledge of Philips Solutions, expertise on hospital/clinic workflows, and Customer needs to build the best winning proposal.
  6. Product and Solution Knowledge: Inform and recommend customers about the latest technological innovations developed and associated configurations, including possible upgrades of the installed base, while addressing complaints and inquiries to enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to achieving sales targets.
  7. Customer Insights: Collate customer insights for new product introductions and competitive & market feedback.
  8. Event Participation: Participate in congresses, events, and team meetings in Spain & occasionally internationally.
  9. Funnel Management: Provide accurate and transparent funnel management as part of daily activity using Philips Systems.
  10. Forecasting: Provide accurate and transparent forecasts and explanations when required.
  11. Product Expertise: Be the knowledge expert on products/solutions, supporting Account Managers in driving overall business and product deal support by providing technical IT and workflow expertise on Enterprise Informatics Solutions across accounts.
  12. Business Support: Support Account Managers and District Managers in achieving business goals.
  13. Solution Configuration: Provide the best solution configuration according to Customer needs and following business policy, pricing strategy, etc.
  14. Market and Competition Monitoring: Monitor competition and changes in the industry and provide effective feedback to sales and marketing organizations, including suggestions for expanding product offerings.
Requirements
  1. Previous Experience: Previous experience in healthcare IT Sales/Business Development (successful Sales experience with emphasis on software and services sales or within healthcare).
  2. Healthcare Background: Previous Healthcare experience within Radiology workflow, Cardiology, or hospital IT department is seen as a big advantage.
  3. Communication Skills: Good communication skills at different levels of the Customer's organization.
  4. Relationship Building: Ability to build strong relationships with Customers, being perceived as a trusted consultant on Healthcare IT.
  5. Education: University degree. Engineering or IT preferred.
  6. Continuous Learning: A desire to continuously learn and follow industry developments.
  7. Business Understanding: High level of business understanding and strong ability to understand the market and consult customers in all aspects, proposing adequate product solutions.
  8. Time Management: Strong time management and organizational skills to achieve company goals and ensure focus on value-added sales activities.
  9. Team Player: A strong team player with the ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts.
  10. Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish.
