MUFG is seeking an ESG Regulatory Specialist to join our team in Amsterdam. As an ESG Regulatory Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the development of ESG deliverables to meet our internal and external requirements.
You will be responsible for interpreting ESG regulatory developments as a first assessment point for any such requirement that may impact the Bank, obtaining an initial impact assessment, and working with impacted divisions on the implementation of any new requirement.
You will also be a go-to-person for any generalist ESG knowledge within the Bank, supporting other divisions in their ESG journey and implementations, shaping ESG policies & strategy documents in line with our material ESG topics, and supporting the preparation & smooth operations of the MBE ESG committee.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in sustainability management, economics, business management, or any other relevant field, with additional post-graduate ESG/climate risk/sustainability qualifications considered a plus. You will have 3-5 years of job experience in banking or financial services, with at least 3 years of experience in ESG/sustainability management in a financial services context.
You will have very good familiarity with key ESG regulatory developments in the EU, awareness of and ability to develop key ESG policy or strategy requirements, and hands-on attitude and strong sense of ownership. You will also have very good collaboration skills to work closely with other teams, where ESG touches their expertise or remit.
