ESG Regulatory and Strategy Specialist

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is seeking an experienced ESG Regulatory and Strategy Specialist to join our team in Amsterdam. As a key member of our Planning Function, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the Bank's ESG regulatory requirements and strategic direction.

With the introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), this role will be essential in embedding relevant requirements into MBE's (MUFG Bank Europe) ESG policies and strategy. You will work closely with other teams, such as finance, risk management, front office, and HR, to develop CSRD-related deliverables and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of ESG (Planning & Strategy) in developing ESG deliverables to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Interpret ESG regulatory developments and assess their impact on the Bank.
  • Develop and maintain ESG policies and strategy documents in line with material ESG topics.
  • Coordinate the implementation of ESG/sustainability initiatives driven by MUFG global and EMEA.
Requirements:
  • University degree in sustainability management, economics, business management, or a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 3 years in ESG/sustainability management.
  • Very good familiarity with key ESG regulatory developments in the EU.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with other teams.
