About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to lead our European Finance team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing our European accounting, finance, tax, billing, collections, sales admin, and A/P functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and develop a high-performing European finance team, providing leadership and support.
  • Lead and manage the team by setting clear expectations, responsibilities, and performance goals, ensuring GAAP compliance with all financial transactions, policies, and procedures.
  • Own, report, and deliver the EBITDA of the business in alignment with the European management team.
  • Partner with the European Management Team to build a high-performing organization for global and local solutions with winning go-to-market strategies.
  • Provide recommendations on critical business decisions based on financial analysis; identify areas of high risk and discuss suggested changes with the executive team.
  • Sparring partner for the European Managing Director on the status/future of the business.
  • Partner with the European Management team on delivering a comprehensive Employee compensation strategy and cost modelling.
  • Support on post-merger integrations of past and future acquisitions: aligning systems, tools, and processes into our Empresa Reconocida management suite and optimizing these targets' internal setup for sustainable growth.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and years of relevant financial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of different European accounting legislation and compliance requirements especially across the UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands.
  • Strong understanding of best practice accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • 5+ years of management experience with strong leadership and staff development skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and motivational management style with the ability to align roles with strengths and mentor for development.
  • Proven experience in business partnering with senior management and department leaders in delivering sound business strategy and solutions.
  • Strong business acumen is a must, as well as strong strategic thinking skills with ability to draw conclusions based on data.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to work through complexity and implement effective solutions.
  • Superior professional communication skills (written verbal).
